Executive Director, Greater Ottawa Home Builders’ Association (GOHBA)

Jason Burggraaf is a respected public policy strategist and housing advocate with deep expertise in urban development and government relations. Since 2018, he has served as Executive Director of GOHBA, leading initiatives to expand housing supply, improve affordability, and influence sustainable growth across the Ottawa region.

Prior to GOHBA, Jason spent nearly 15 years with the Canadian Home Builders’ Association, where he advanced key policy files and built strong industry-government partnerships. Under his leadership, GOHBA has grown in membership and visibility, playing a vital role in municipal and provincial housing dialogues.

Jason serves on the City of Ottawa’s Planning Advisory Committee and has been recognized as Executive Officer of the Year by both Ontario and Canadian Home Builders’ Associations. Originally from Newfoundland, he studied political science in Ottawa and is known for his collaborative, forward-thinking leadership. He brings his passion for inclusive growth to Elevate International, championing women leaders in shaping Canada’s future.
