Dr. Julie Cafley

Executive Director, Catalyst Canada

Dr. Julie Cafley is the Executive Director of Catalyst Canada, an organization dedicated to advancing inclusive workplaces. A strategic leader and accomplished academic, she brings expertise in equity and inclusion, public policy, and higher-education leadership. In 2023, she served as a member of the Canadian delegation to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67).

Dr. Cafley previously held senior leadership roles as Vice-President of Communications and External Relations at the Digital Research Alliance of Canada, Executive Vice-President of the Public Policy Forum, and Chief of Staff to two presidents at the University of Ottawa. She holds a PhD in education leadership from the University of Ottawa, where her research examined unfinished presidential terms in Canadian universities.

An active community builder and mentor, Dr. Cafley is a champion for women in leadership, an ally to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples, and a dedicated advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
