Michel Rodrigue

Retired CEO, Mental health Committee of Canada

Michel Rodrigue is the former President and CEO of the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC). He served as CEO from 2021 to June 2025, before launching into his new chapter.

Mr. Rodrigue has extensive leadership experience in performance management, stakeholder relations, finance, and communications. He joined as Vice President of Organizational Performance and Public Affairs in 2015, where he led the development of MHCC’s 10-year strategic plan, Answering the Call. During his tenure, Mr. Rodrigue was an adept and compassionate leader who worked tirelessly to lay the foundation for the MHCC to continue to have a successful and impactful future.

 Driven by a vision of equitable, culturally adapted mental health care for all, Mr. Rodrigue has also held senior roles in management consulting and public affairs, including CIO of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada and Press Secretary to the Premier of Ontario. He holds an Executive MBA, CPA/CMA designation, and degrees in accounting and history.
