Shannin Metatawabin

CEO, National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association (NACCA)

 Shannin Metatawabin is the CEO of National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association (NACCA). He is a respected advocate for meaningful economic reclamation and Indigenous prosperity. Mr. Metatawabin has been instrumental in the creation of innovative investment vehicles, including the Indigenous Growth Fund, the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation, and the Indigenous Impact Investment Circle (3iC), which connect private and philanthropic investors with Indigenous-led projects.

Prior to his leadership role at the National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association (NACCA). Mr. Metatawabin served as Manager of Aboriginal Affairs and Sustainability with DeBeers and as Executive Director of the Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation.

Mr. Metatawabin holds a Bachelor of Political Science from Carleton University and the ICD.D designation from the Rotman School of Management. Known for his ability to engage diverse audiences, Mr. Metatawabin communicates with ease across Indigenous communities, non-Indigenous governments, private investors, and international platforms, including the United Nations.
