Stephanie Mikki Adams
Executive Director, Inuuqatigiit
Stephanie Mikki Adams is an Inuk leader from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, with over 25 years of experience in finance and management, now based in Ottawa. Since 2019, she has served as Executive Director of the Inuuqatigiit Centre for Inuit Children and their families, as well as serving as Youth and Families and Secretary of the ONWA’s Leadership.
Ms. Adams earned a Management Studies Certificate from Nunavut Arctic College (2001) and became a Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager through AFOA Canada (2009). Her career spans municipal, territorial, and federal government roles, including work with the Hamlet of Rankin Inlet, the Government of Nunavut, and Employment and Social Development Canada.
Ms. Adams has also been active in leadership and governance, serving as Co-Chair of the Ottawa Aboriginal Coalition and as a board member with CASO, Inuit Non-Profit Housing, and ONWA. She is currently enrolled in the Harvard Business School Executive Certificate Program on Leading People and Investing to Build Sustainable Communities. A strong advocate for Inuit-specific services, Ms. Adams received the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of her leadership.
